Glass beads

Light reflecting glass beads are used mainly in road lining, delineation, work clothing, vehicle graphics and as a filler for a wide range of applications. They ensure improved levels of visibility, particularly in the dark and in poor visibility conditions.  

Primary screening to remove larger shards from recycled bottles, glasses, window panes etc is carried out in coarse sieves, before the materials are reduced into smaller fragments. Following a vibration procedure with secondary melting down, the cooled granulate is separated and reduced to the required bead size in a multi-stage sieving process. For this application, we offer glass bead sieves with apertures ranging from 1.06mm down to 45 microns. Each stage is only narrowly separated from the next, so the weave tolerance is the deciding factor in achieving the desired end result.   

Where required, we can also undertake tensioning of the frames, thereby ensuring that the operational life of the sieve is increased and the efficiency of the sieving process is also improved.
