Mining

The demands on screens operating in the mining industry are both diverse and extreme. This equipment is challenged every day by high loads, sharp edged stones, vibration, dirt and fluctuating temperatures, and must continue to operate reliably and efficiently.

Alongside achieving optimum levels of robustness, we also focus on the equally important issue of aperture size distribution. In practice, inferior quality meshes with wider aperture size distribution tolerances result in unsatisfactory levels of separation efficiency. All too often, sieving meshes are secured by hand using inadequate methods. Both of these factors can significantly diminish the quality of the end results.

Quite wrongly, the industry relies on mesh count rather than aperture size distribution, which yields far more accurate results. BOPP takes a different approach. We always refer to specific aperture size distribution and wire diameters, and set great store by specification and achieving the tightest tolerances for our manufactured products. We have invested heavily in equipment and processes which, when compared with earlier methods, result in a high value, durable screen.

Where required, we can also undertake tensioning the screen on your behalf, thereby guaranteeing a longer service life with reduced downtime. An evenly tensioned screen improves flow rates and ensures that the entire surface area of the screen is used, leading to significant improvements in efficiency.

  • Uniform weave and tensile strength of meshes (SI)
  • Wide range of specifications available
  • Mechanically stretched, evenly tensioned sieves in sizes up to 3m x 3m
  • Quality and production documentation for every sieve, facilitating total traceability
